So, 6,000 miles. What failed and what action was taken.
Issue Screen door handle fell off. Screw was missing.
Action Got new set screw at Home Depot and reinstalled.
Issue Main camera and side cameras not operative. (I have two screens and two rear cameras)
Action Removed dash face and corrected loose fitting.
Issue Dog leg ahead of right drive wheel loose and protruding out about 2". Cause was a missing screw and a broken screw.
Action Drilled new holes and installed two larger screws.
Issue Power foot rest failed to retract without pushing by hand.
Action Reworked mechanizum and lubricated.
[I]Issue[/I Keypad failed and started beeping from time to time while driving.
Action] Took off inner panel and unplugged keypad from power supply. Called Newmar and had a new keypad sent ahead for me. Installed the new keypad.
Issue Cover for filter sets fell off and was damaged beyond use as it dragged. Right side broke off and dragged on the road.
Action Removed the remains and ran without a cover. I will question Newmar or Spartan as to the need for such a cover.
So, Bob is not alone with issue, all be it mine are much more minor. I guess we have to expect some problems from time to time.

Peter, I am at a loss as to why this keep happening as I myself sent one of those "customer suggestion sheets" six months ago when in Nappanee and I've mentioned this issue to Carl,Jeff,Ken and Jason.
Even if the cover is deemed necessary,I recommended they use threaded bolts and flat and lock washers with loc-tite as I did on the Essex.
I'm thinking the cover would keep "most" of the road gremlins from making contact with the filters,so they'll say they're necessary.

Don't forget, the management wheels turn very slow at conservative Newmar.

Interestingly enough, as we discussed yesterday that's not ALWAYS true....

My entire trip came in just under 6000 miles. On our way out to the Newmar Rally we hit a rut on the Pa turnpike which broke my seal loose on the Volvo axle and the air ride hight valve rod busted as well. I just don't understand how these conditions can be left unattended. The area was just outside Pittsburgh. We did not see the problem until we stopped on the Ohio Turnpike at the first rest area. Three phone calls had us at a Freightliner dealer about 10 miles away for a one hour fix. We did save on a campground that night as they told us to just camp on the lot for the night. On the way from Oklahoma to Branson we developed a crack in the fiberglass on the front of the coach. I am attributing this to the hard hit back on the Pa turnpike. Other than that a great trip.

We are in the 4th week of a 12 week trip, and we had a parial electric failure leaving San Fransisco this morning.
We noticed a banging noise coming from the passenger side front. Sort of like a piece of metal hitting non-metal. It went on for 20 minutes and then we lost our rear/side camera, the lights illuminating the rocker switches, and at the toll booth I found out, the driver's window.
I called Carl, and he never heard of it. I pulled over, and found nothing hanging or loose in the wheelwell, the generator compartment, or under the coach. As we went over Donner Pass (quite bumpy) the dash lights/rear camera flashed on when the object hit inside.
When we arrived at destination, I pulled glove box, and found a black box. Left message for Carl to have Tech call me regarding what's in it, or other suggestions.
Anyone else experience such gremlins?

lug_nut: I had the same right side drive wheel dog-leg come loose. I did a similar fix...

Filter cover on my mid March07 chassis IS attached 1) using two threaded knob screws with fender washers up against the plastic housing AND 2) has a 1/4" aluminum lip channel attached to the chassis that the plastic housing actually slips/drops into all along the entire bottom edge of the housing. This new set up isn't going anywhere.

Hi Peter! Hope all is well! What is a Dog Leg?? Also my MADP has the newer cover. There were a few posts about the cover, I think with pics, last year. The new fix is not going anywhere. Paul

Hi Paul, The dog leg I refer to is the front bottom section of the rear fender. It's like a 6" wide piece that is right ahead of the rear drive tire. If you can imagine it is secured to the framing beneath and behind the body. There are 2 screws that secure it to a steel channel. Mine had one missing screw and one broken one. This allowed that section to spring out about 2" or so. I drilled two new pilot holes and installed heavier self tapers. It's better than new now.
