Propane detector, no power? 01 DS
I swapped out the Atwood sensor today. At 1st the red light flashed. I disconnected it and read the instructions and hooked it back up. Now I have no power to the unit. I tested the wires that connect to the detector with a multi meter and there's no voltage. I looked in my owners manual and it shows a fuse in the 12 volt panel in the bedroom. I open the panel and there's no wires running to the fuse slot or fuse in the slot. On top of that some one took a black magic marker and marked out the label " gas detector"
So my question is, "where does the power come from that feeds the gas detector?

Mine is in the cable bay, inline fuse , running from the battery disconnect relay.
Top center of this picture laying on the top of the Transfer switch, with 4 others.
Things may be different in your rig , being newer.
BTW; I've found fuses in 10 different locations in my coach, and I'm not sure if I've found them all.
Take notes every time you find a fuse, Murphy says, someday you'll need to know.

Just a thought, I was have problems with my propane valve not coming on. I found out that the valve is grounded through the detector. I believe the power to the detector would come from the power that feeds the valve at the tank. Give it a try.

See if this link helps.
I found my 1 amp fuse coiled up with a bunch of other wires on driver side fire wall of my 03 coach, so good luck in your hunt.

Hey Skip, it's exactley where you said it was. Just had to remove the velcro panel hiding the wires and fuses. Now I know where some other fuses live also. Thanks!

Not a problem , glad I could help.
I guess Newmar decided to dress things up by hiding the fuses and wiring ; in some cases, that's no help.
