Propane problems
We completed our 1040 mile trip to Ma. Set up home at Minuteman RV Park. Upon completion of the set up I'm not getting propane to the range.
I have a 2006 Kountry Star. The monitor inside the coach shows full, the gauge on the tank shows 3/4 full, I've turned the knob on the tank to on,and the switch in the coach on. The spark for each of the burners appears to be working, but no propane flowing. Any idea what I'm missing?

propane working.
ok, the gremlins are out. Shut everything down, then checked fridge, it worked on propane, checked the water heater, it worked on propane, last check on the stove burners, all working.

Before I run the fridge I usually run the stove to fill the lines. Sometimes it can take a couple of minutes before the stove will light, especially if the coach has been sitting for a while.

Hi kenn6645,
When turning on the main propane valve (at the tank), turn it on painfully slowly. In small increments and wait a minute before turning to the next increment. The leak sensors are very sensitive to propane flow. Sometimes if the valve is opened quickly the rush of propane to fill the lines says there is a leak to the sensors. This shuts everything down until the pressure equalizes for a few minutes. For this reason, I've quit turning my main valve off.
There is another possibility. Due to the age of your coach, consider replacing the regulator. It is a cheap and easy way to keep the supply of propane at its' peak.

Kenn, this happens to me every time I open the propane valve after storage. The propane line(s) have a small leak and over the course of a few weeks all the propane leaks out of the lines. I use the stove as other posters have to purge the lines, basically open the propane valve at the tank, then go inside, turn on one of the burners and light it until I get a good flame. Takes 30 seconds to a minute. Then the fridge and water heater light fine. I have not found the leak, it seems so small it eludes the soapy water test.

Thanks for all the input, much better armed with solutions when this happens again. 1040 miles of driving and 5 days of camping and everything is going great!
