Pulled the trigger!! Just ordered a 2021 Super Star

After months of research, test drives, dealer visits, and talking to reps from different manufacturers, we pulled the trigger this week and ordered a 2021 Super Star 4051. Have to say that Newmar's quick and detailed communication with us during our research as well as the support we received from Grant Russell at Transwest in Frederick were definitely factors as they really went the extra mile to ensure we had all our questions answered!!!

Now to start the countdown to delivery!!!

WOOHOOOOO!!!!

Congrats!

What drove you to choose that particular platform?

Number of things -
Drivability - we test drove Class A's in the same price point of the Super Star that just didnt have the stability in a cross wind.

Service - much rather be able to service this anywhere that services a school bus versus having to drive 100 miles and wait.. plus no need to tear up the bedroom/bathroom to service.

Safety of not only having the engine in front in case of front end impact, but also having 4 doors to get out in case of an emergency. Max on a Class A in that price point is 2.

those are the main reasons.. but there are many other reasons in my opinion.. Just glad we did our research and drove every Super C out there we could to make sure we made the right choice..

Would be interested to know how you would compare the ride and handling of the Newmar air ride cab to the conventional setup such as the Renegade Verona.

we test drove a Verona LE and the Super Star back to back.. you don't feel the bounce of the air ride seats like you do in the Verona since the cab takes on most of the bumps/movement. same route, same road, etc

as for noise level, I drive an F250 Ford diesel, and its as quiet or quieter than that.. the insulation/sound dampening in the Super Star is really well done... to me, I would rather be able to hear if something is happening with the engine versus having it behind the coach where you won't know whats going on until you get an indicator light or see smoke coming out the back....

Congrats. Iíve been following and reading up on Verona LE and Super Stars. Two complaints I read about on the Veronaís (including LEís) is uncomfortable bed and uncomfortable seating. Super Star looks better to me. Did you notice a different level of comfort in the RV part of the rig? And, I think they both have the same cab/chassis and engine/transmission. Am I correct?

Thanks Don! we have already populated a wish list on Amazon LOL

EnjoyRV, the furniture in the one we saw was still the flex steel furniture, but from what we have seen, the new furniture will be even nicer than the flex steel. the bed we ordered is a sleep number bed, so that should be good..

as far as engine/chassis, it is the same chassis as the Renegade, but there is something different in the way the M2 106 is setup on the Newmar as it was more responsive than the Renegade.. we drove each one a few times back to back and it was pretty noticeable..

Congrats! We are finalizing decision between those two platforms as well. Did you notice any noise difference, or "solidity" feeling between the Verona LE and the superstar when on the road? And whats the anticipated delivery date of your Super Star?

In driving both the Verona LE and the SuperStar 4051 back to back, the ride was quieter in the SuperStar in both wind noise and engine noise... Handling of the SuperStar was more responsive I felt... Verona has quite a few rattles and squeaks.... didn't hear that in the SuperStar...

so far we are on track for a Mid-November delivery if everything works out!!

The one thing that would keep us from doing a super c is the availability of the nicer resorts. Class A only luxury resorts are very common.

Good to hear about quiet responsiveness. Wow - Mid-November is sooner than I would have guessed. Who did you order from?
