Purchase discounts
We are in the market for a new coach and the Ventana 4369 has caught our interest. What % discount off of MSRP should we expect to receive? I know with Entegra it’s anywhere from 30-33%, Tiffin 25-29%. While we live in the Pacific Northwest, we have no issue traveling to get the best deals. Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you looking at a 2018 or a 2019? Discounts on the 2019s will be thinner until near the end of the year. With the 2019s starting to hit the dealers' lots, the maximum discounts on 2018s will probably be in the high 20s.
We are currently in Colorado where we picked up our special order 2018 Mountain Aire 4047. We're here because the dealer offered us a 28.5% discount; no one else we talked to even approached that number.
One other factor enters into the picture this year; Newmar has already committed its entire 2019 production to dealers, so the supply will be a little tighter. That will probably shave a few percentage points off any discount. Individual dealers discount coaches differently, so you just need to start contacting them. It helps if you know exactly what you want.

I would say your doing good between 26.5 and 28.5% off true MSRP. Newmar does not charge dealers for delivery or PDI, some dealers charge a lot for both of these items after giving you a “great discount”.

Good info TJ. Our hope had been to custom order a 2019 so we get exactly what we want for options. Several years ago we ordered an Entegra through RV One. They input our options into one of their already ordered coaches. So with Newmar, while you say all 2019s have been reserved by dealers, my assumption would be that we could work a deal like we did before.
What time of year do the models change over to a new model year?
Does anyone have a build sheet for the Ventana 4369 so we can get a reasonable idea of MSRP?
Still curious to hear what others say about possible % off on new coaches.

The model year has already changed over and orders have been in for a couple of months.

Correct! Dealers have reserved the production slots for the 2019s. That means that you need to find a dealer with a reserved production slot for the model you are looking for. Since the Ventana is a pretty popular model, I suspect most dealers have production slots for them reserved.
The other part of the issue is that you have to find a dealer who is willing to configure one of their slots the way you want it. Frequently, dealers want to pad their coaches with expensive (read that "high profit margin") options and don't want to do a custom configuration unless is has a bunch of those options.
First, settle on exactly what you want in the way of options. Then, go directly to Newmar and negotiate a list of "specials" with Michelle Howard. You don't negotiate price with the specials, just what Newmar is or is not willing to do. When you have all that in hand, start contacting dealers. Provide them with your build sheet and list of specials...and see what kind of prices roll in.
Good luck.

We bought our 2018 Ventana 4369 (we also loved the layout and features) through the Junction City, Oregon dealer.
We were deciding last November what we wanted. Once we did that, we sat down with the dealer, who took one of their reserved production slots, modified the order to our specs, and they gave us a price and approximate delivery date (May of 2018).
We didn't go highly customized, and pretty much only worked off of the standard options list. But we picked a LOT of options. More than the dealer had originally picked.
It worked out well for us, and the coach arrived at the dealer with 2,000+ miles on it already where things that needed attention popped up during the delivery drive from Indiana.
As a result, for us, we only had one cosmetic issue on the coach on an interior cabinet. We've had the coach for a little over a month, with 2 weeks of use. We leave for a one-month trip in another week.
We feel we got a good deal, and maybe left a little more on the table for the dealer than we could have, if we really wanted to press and take days to work out the deal. But the customer service after the sale has been excellent, and we're happy with the dealer and the coach.
the hardest part of the entire ordeal was the excruciating 6 month wait for the coach to get here, knowing it was what we wanted. In hindsight, the 6 months wasn't enough time for us to prepare for it, and plan for it. W're caching up and having a grand time of it!

I would definitely give coachlight rv a call. They are consistently mentioned on IRV2 as being one of the better discounting dealers in the nation. I'm expecting my '19 Ventana ordered from them in early August.
See attached file for the Ventana 4369 (what I'm getting) order sheet.

Check out Transwest in Fountain CO. We purchased our 2016 BSS in 2017 and paid $75k on a $123k MSRP. It wasn’t an order however, it was already on their lot.
