Push button start- Leveling Jacks alarm solution?/
On key start DP’s, the jack down alarm doesnt ring during the leveling or storing process, when in the ACC position. However with my 2020 MA, with a push button ignition, in the ACC mode, the jacks down alarm rings during the entire leveling or auto store process. How is this avoided?
Between the hundreds of KA, LA, MA, and Essex’s with push button ignition, I can t be the only one who’s wife is demanding this alarm be fixed!!

ACC Position = No Alarm NADP
I have a 2019 NADP with a push button start. When I work the jacks (up or down) I have the coach plugged in and the ignition in the "ACC" position. The alarm does not sound at all unless I push the push button again to "ON".
You just get the alarm when you cycle through the "ON" position to turn off the ignition after you have lowered the jacks.
The other thing is that the air bags don't inflate when you raise the jacks in the "ACC" position. You sometimes have to push the "retract all" button a second time after starting the engine to get the bags to inflate. And, of course, you have to remember to give them time to inflate before you drive off.
You might want to call Newmar and ask if this is the way it is designed or if your coach has a problem that needs to be resolved.

I agree with BillW1. It took me a little while to figure this out. One push for accessory mode works to raise and lower the jacks. Don’t forget to turn off accessory mode, when done.
I have had to reset chassis power a couple of times to get the jacks to go.

What do you mean when you say, "Reset chassis power?" I've never had that problem but I'd like to know about what you did in case it happens to me sometime.

Final response from Newmar, Engineers as well as input from HWH and Spartan, is that the design is for the alarm to go sound in ACC mode when jacks are not stored (deploying or retracting) just as it does with engine ON.
What is surprising is that they expect the alarm to be on with a “Key” ignition in the ACC mode too.
It appears that I am the only person that is bothered by the alarm sound and this as this hasn’t been an issue in the past with anyone else.
There are a few items like this which seemed to be a step backwards between our former 18 DS and our 20 MA. We love all the upgrades, but didn’t expect any downgrades.

Thanks for the picture. That makes perfect sense. I don't have any switches like that on the New Aire but there's probably a switch in the chassis battery compartment. I'll take a look.

Have not seen these switches in my 2020 New Aire. The HWH system can be picking about inflating the air bags. My previous coach had the HWH system and sometimes I had to go through the following sequence to get them to inflate:
-Turn off Ignition
-Cycle parking brake on-off-on
-Turn on ignition
-Store jacks
-Turn engine on to run compressor and wait for bags to inflate.
Rinse and repeat if needed.

My 2020 MADP does not act like this. And neither should yours. I don't like the push button start, would rather have a key. Be sure you are only pushing the button once (yellow ring on button) this is ACC mode. Jack alarm should not sound. Second push with foot off brake (again yellow light on button) is ignition. Jack alarm will sound.
My chassis is a Spartan. When I auto store the jacks on the HWH control panel I have to push Travel on the Valid air system control display to get back to ride height.

Thanks for help.

Push the button once without pressing the brake. This should put you in ACC mode and alarm will not sound with jacks down. This is what I do to store jacks. In ACC mode the glass dash should not be on. To start, i push button once without brake pedal (ACC mode button light is yellow) and then push button a second time without the brake pedal (IGN mode button light is yellow). This cycles the dash to power up and allow all senors to check in.Then I push the brake, button turns green, push button engine starts.
You can also start the engine by pressing the brake, push and hold button. If you push brake pedal you are going right to IGN mode.
Anytime the brake is pressed the button should turn green because this is an authentication for the key fob and interlocks for Transmission neutral and service brake applied. All are required to start engine.
Look at page 42 of the 2020 MADP Owners Manual.

The PURPOSE is to prevent attempted driveaway w/ jacks DOWN causing jack DAMAGE, and maybe STUCK w/ jack down... WHY WUD U WANT TO DEFEAT THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE???????. Some BRANDS (??) auto RETRACT jack if IGN= ON... yours apparently a different approach.
