Question about Dometic door awning 2015 Dutch Star
A question for all you 2015 Dutch Star owners....did your coach come with a remote to operate the Dometic door awning ?
Mine did not, and before I try to order a remote, just wanted to know if I should have had one, and that there is a receiver already fitted, or whether I need to but a kit complete with receiver.

I would call and have my serial number and outher coach information handy and ask them if it shipped with one.

My 05 came with a remote for the Dometic main and door awnings all on the same remote.

Gary my coach has Girard main awnings, and they have a separate remote.

If I have a remote for the door, I haven't found it yet. Did not think it was available. If you find out it is, please post the information. Thanks.

Yes I have a Dometic door awning and it came with a remote. Remote actually has controls for patio also but since my patio awning is Gerard it doesn't operate it. Hardley ever use the door awning remote as I usually decide to deploy it while I am standing in front of the switch by the door.

Thanks again for the replies. Unfortunately they positioned my door awning switch above the PS window, behind the day shade, so it isn't easy to access. I'll call customer sevice to see if mine should have one.

The control box for the Dometic has a programming button, so I ordered a remote, and I'll let you know if it can be used to work the awning, when I get it.

Our 13 came with one. One thing to check is to see if they wired the ignition interlock that is supposed to prevent deployment when the ignition is one. On our coach that was not hooked up and if you don't watch it, it's possible to hit the button on the remote inadvertently... experience talking here.

For all who are interested I received the remote on Saturday, and it literally takes 4 seconds to program, and the door awning function fine from the remote. The remote was apx $62 from AdventureRV.com

Glad you got it figured out. On my 4018, there is a cabinet in the middle of the passenger side kitchen slide that has a wood wall partially blocking the cabinet. That wall is perfect for putting hooks on it and hanging spare keys and the remote for the awnings.
