Questions on our new 2013 Ventana

Last month we took delivery on our 2013 Ventana 3634. We've had it out twice, and I have a few questions.

First, can anyone tell me where the drain valve for the fresh water tank is located? I filled the tank to weigh the coach a couple weeks ago and can't figure out how to drain it now.

Second, is the off-air antenna connected to the bedroom tv? The inputs on the screen are only labelled dvr, satellite, and cable. There is only one coax connected to the tv, so I figured it was the cable. Since we weren't at a park with cable, I wasn't hooked up. When I chose the cable input, the tv said there was no signal.

Thanks.

The fresh water drain is off bottom of tank a small tube with a small shut off valve the tube maybe covered in the compartment below it.
You have a VIDEO CONTROL CENTER that should have a 2nd TV button to select the ANT would have cable,DVD and Sat.

In the cabinet directly above the drivers seat, the video control center will have 3 selectors. 1 is for main tv, 2 is for the bedroom, and 3 is for your outside tv. If you are using the roof top antenna , select tv and run a scan. It should be good.

The I phone posted to quick and I should have added that on the control box, you can also select sat, dvr, or tv. So just pick one, set the TV the same and run the scan.

For the freak water drain, the low point drain is located in the same compartment where you filled the tank. Lower left hand corner pull out the handle and let it drain.

You have to also go in the TV setup and choose between cable or off air and then scan channels I am also looking at getting a Ventana 3634 How do you like it so far?How does it drive?

Thanks for the quick replies. I ordered our Ventana with the HD wiring option. With this option there is no video selector box to route cable, antenna, satellite, and dvd to each tv. Instead, a number of cables are run through splitters to each tv. There are HDMI from the dvd and satellite receiver and coax from the antenna and cable hookup. The sound is routed from the output on the living room tv back through the home theater system so whatever you watch on tv plays through the theater system. The reason for all of this is so you can use the tv remote to select the input on the tv you are watching without having to go to the selector box to change the input. But not every device is wired to every tv. The bedroom tv only has one coax going to it, and has its own dvd with an hdmi player in the bedroom. The living room has 2 HDMI cables, one from the dvd player one from the satellite receiver, and 2 coax cables (I think) from the antenna and cable along with output audio cables that go back to the home theater. The combinations are too numerous to list here. There was a recent post from 2 or 3 months ago in the forum on a 2013 Dutch Star with the same setup as mine I'll have to revisit. He completely rewired his and explained where every cable went and eventually I'll do some rewiring with mine.

I see the low point drains but I can't find any cable to pull or valve for a drain. Newmar said I need to remove the pegboard in the compartment in front of the passenger side rear wheel and the drain valve was behind there. I had it off because I noticed some dampness that kind of wrecked the pegboard but I didn't see any kind of drain.

We've only had it out twice so far and put about 800 miles on it. Once I weighed it and adjusted the tire pressures it rode and handled great. Last weekend we drove back home to northern Ill. from Michigan.
There are only a few small hills and we were pulling a Tracker toad doing about 65 and it never downshifted lower that 5th gear. For the first time I was being passed by semis and never knew it. I weighed it with full fuel and water and all our stuff. According to the tire charts and adding an extra 5 psi to each tire I'm running 90 psi in the rears and 95 in the front (down from the 130 all around the dealer had them set at). The front weighed 10960 and rear was 18340 vs. the front gvwr of 12400 and rear of 23000 would mean I could still carry 6100 lbs.

The quality is outstanding compared to my last coach (not a Newmar or a diesel but one of the other two "quality" brands). We've only found a very few very minor issues we're making a list of. The only real problem we've had was a check engine light that has required two trips to the freightliner dealer so far. Hopefully they have it right this time.

I don't think the Accuride wheels are certified for 130 psi, think they're only good to 120 psi.

I have a 2013 Ventana 3634. My water drain is in the utility compartment, located in the lower left of the compartment, behind and below the plastic face where the various connections are. It's a typical gate valve but hard to see. I never would have known about it if it weren't pointed out during the delivery walkthrough.

I also have the high def wiring. I haven't used my new coach in over two months due to work demands so my memory is sketchy on the TV. As I recall, the av receiver is set to the correct input, probably TV, and then you just go into menu on your bedroom TV and select antenna or something similar, then do the scan for available stations. Once the scan is complete you'll be able to switch among those stations.

Thanks, 007. The wiring in my Ventana is quite different though. We camped in Michigan last week for 3 nights and I had the chance to play with it some. My biggest issue was how can I get both cable and antenna on my tv's when there is only one coax to each tv, no A/B switches, no AV selector box and neither the cable nor antenna goes through the home theater amp. The answer is the power switch on the antenna amp wall plate. If the power switch is on, you get antenna over the coax and cable when off.
