Received rain baffle from Newmar for our Dutch-Star gasser. I didn`t have m-home registered so I just picked up box from local Newmar trailer dealer. Just opened box, no mounting hardware, instructions. Has anyone done this themselves? Motorhome buried in snow right now so can`t really look it over.Any help appreciated.

Spoonman,
Some people have installed the cap on their air-intake an found it didn't work for them. I had the same problem of water into air-intake an did something different to solve the problem, an its working for everyone that has done the "FIX", ITS ON PAGE "THREE" OF MY POSTS.
If you double click on, "007" member, you will get all my posts on this subject, another problems that I have been helping people with. ---"007"

Thanks 007, I had already used 3/8x1/2" self stick foam, I believe it is window weather strip and seemed to work well but long term I don`t believe the foam will stand up. Planning on getting the weather strip you describe when the snow goes,if it ever does. The baffle from Newmar looks like it can only help and won`t obstruct airflow so I plan on using both. Thanks again, Dick

The foam weather strip won't standup over time thats why I desided on rubber. As to the cap one rv'er did put on the cap "PairaDocs" an he said it didn't work for him, an he thought it maybe was reducing his gas mileage.
DriVer on a post about unanswered questions for rv's, said WH didn't have a problem with it. I have not used it, don't see it as improving on the weather strip, told Newmar when I talked to them. Like you say will be glad when the snow's gone, next couple of days rain an in the 40's, but than colder, DARN ---"007"
