Rand McNally freezing multiple times

Our Rand McNally navigation system keeps freezing in our 2017 Dutch Star requiring the radio to be essentially be rebooted to get it to work again. It works from anywhere from a few miles to 10 or 20 miles and then just freezes and locks the screen which doesn't change. I have updated the SD card and checked for corrupt files with the dock software. Any suggestions?

I contacted RMcN when ours was doing that and they sent me a new power cord but ours was a window mount unit and yours may be a built into the dash unit. If that's the case ignore my attempt to assist.

Contact Newmar or contact Riverpark directly 800-442-7717, ask for tech support. They will send you a new sd card. When you get it you will update it with the latest software and install. Worked for me.

My Rand McNally is a portable unit that freezes up only when I am entering a large city with numerous expressways, requiring me to reboot. I have the latest updates. I've received no help from Rand McNally.

I had a RVND 7710 that worked good but the screen was dim. I upgraded to a RVND 7730 which was great when it worked but the screen would go dim and I would have to reset the brightness. Then it started to lock up. Called rand McNally and all they offered was to send it back and they would check it out for $99.00. I put the $99.00 towards a Garmen.

We've been experiencing a similar problem with the screen freezing or total loss of audio. This seems to have manifested itself after a recent RMc sim card map update.

Presently at Camp Newmar, the service techs have tested and determined the entire unit (radio) to be bad and are changing out the complete unit.

I haven't had a map update for quite a while, actually well over a year and was wondering about everyone else. My unit claims I have the latest map updates.
