Rear View Monitor - 2000 Mountain Aire

On the drivers left is a switch label, “Rear View Monitor”, turning on/off the switch has no impact on Rear Camera that is part of an in-dash Panasonic setup. What then does this switch go to? I pulled off the cover and see that there is a Red-White and Red-Blue stripe wires connected (16 AWG).

My guess is that there must have been another option back then for rear-monitor and this switch turned it on/off. ????

I want to re-purpose the switch and just trying to confirm what the switch was used for?

I have a small, unlabeled, rocker switch in that location. It is for mirror heat.
