Reattach Fresh Water Tank Sensor

We have a 2014 Bay Star and last year, the top sensor fell off the side of the fresh water tank. I have tried multiple time to stick it back on, but it eventually falls back off. Has anybody ever had to reattach one, and what did you use? Right now I have it taped in place. It's not a deal breaker. Even when full it reads 1/2. But it does bother me. Any thoughts?

Newmar has used several different systems since 2012. Maybe a call to Newmar to see if they have a replacement sensor you can install. On the other hand maybe now is a good time to upgrade to a SeeLevel system, using your existing wiring.

I have used successfully Eterna Bond tape, cleaned with alcohol first. RV dealers and camping world sometimes have smaller amounts that do not cost so much.

I have used the sticky aluminum tape, normally used for heating and AC duct sealing, with good results. You may have to recalibrate the sensor.

Is the silicone under the sensor, or around the outside edges? In other words, is there a layer of silicone between the sensor and the tank, our just around the outside edge of the sensor to hold it on?
