Recommendation for hotel near Newmar Factory, Nappanee

looking for some of your knowledge.
We're booked into the Newmar Factory in Nappanee, IN, for warranty work in April.

We have 2 cats and a dog and I am looking for recommendations for hotels in the area as Newmar's policy does not allow pets to remain on the property (in the waiting room).

What are the best pet friendly hotels in the area? cleanest.
any other recommendations welcome.
thanks in advance!

Amish Acres is close but I cannot recommend staying there. We stayed there last April with a dog and we had the worst room. Newmar will not put people there. Newmar uses Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, IN. which will allow pets. There is a waiting rooms @ Newmar that allow pets. It is located down by the paint repair shop. Sorry, I don't remember the building number.

Get a service vest for your dog and they can not refuse to allow him in the building.

Newmar did put us in Amish Acres this fall with our cat and dog (1 night ). It was OK, like an older LaQuinta being worn but reasonably clean. Many better choices towards Elkhart or South Bend.

I highly recommend:

Oakwood Resort
702 East Lake View Road
Syracuse, IN 46567
855-213-0582
http://oakwoodresort.com

Very nice hotel with very good restaurant. They give Newmar discount and accept dogs (I assume cats also).

Newmar allows pets in the waiting room attached to the laundry area. I can't remember the building number.

I’m not sure. In another thread I mentioned staying there (and paying normal rates) and someone responded saying that they give a Newmar discount. I haven’t stayed there since, but even normal rate was reasonable. You’ll have to call and ask.

It was an extra $25 a day for our dog at Oakwood. It is a very nice place.

Let us know what you find out about the discount. I will probably be staying there soon when I go to pick up my new King Aire.
