RedBaron73-perfeclty matched air on all axles

Call me picky. Call me detail oriented. Either way, I hate it when my drive axle has 4 different psi readings. Even if off by 1 psi, its annoying.

This is even more important with the steer axle.

I finally came up with a solution.

I am using my viaair, specially made manifolds, 300 psi 1/4ID air hose. I can now air all 6 tires at the same time and ensure perfectly matched pressure!

Same setup works on the front axle too, as the chucks I am using are sealed unless connected.

During my test all 6 tires where 80psi. Needed to add 10psi. It took 15 minutes of just waiting for the viair to do its job. Not too shabby.Click image for larger version

You are picky.
And possibly have too much free time on your hands.

Ron....when you removed the hoses and reattached the tire pressure monitors, didn't you lose a little air and throw off the balance?

Ahh...you didn't notice I used pass thru sensors

Seriously though, it so easy to air all tires at once, knowing they are perfectly even, and I can get other things done while they are airing. The single tire method takes same time, but requires constant attention and movement between them.

I think it is a simple, but elegant, solution! Those are the best.

Ronnie,

You ARE still my hero!

If nothing else, being able to fill all tires at the same time is awesome!! That’d get me the free hands to drink at least one IPA.
