Refreshing the Interior

We are in the process of freshening up the interior of our 2004 Dutchstar. Currently we have changed out the cloth couch for a leather one, reupholstered the 2 folding chairs and the 2 regular chairs (Kitchen). We have covered the window valences with the same material as used with the chairs. We are contemplating painting the wall board. Has anyone attempted this and how did you like the results? Are there things that one should be aware of before starting?

We changed out all our surfaces, new back splashes and painted the whole inside a neutral color. The paint we used was Bear Marque from home depot. It looks a lot better than the original Newmar choices.
