Refrigerator Lock

We have a 2017 Bay Star with a small Frigidaire refrigerator. Newmar installed this locking device on the door for travel. There is a set screw in the refrigerator door and freezer door right above (door is open in the picture). The little latch with the hole slides back and forth to lock and unlock. Overtime the set screw has become loose and actual will wiggle down so that it doesn't catch on the lock and the door opens while traveling, no fun to clean broken glass and contents while traveling. I tried some blue lock tight, but doesn't seem to hold, possible has made the set screw looser. Not sure how to make this setup work? Maybe there is some other locking method?
Appreciate any help. might be using shipping tape tomorrow.

Not sure of the model of your Frig; however, a company called Fridge Fixer (recubed solutions.com) makes an excellent after market locking mechanism. They stand behind the product with a lifetime guarantee. We have had it for 5 plus years and it only failed after our grandson accidentally hit it with his toy and broke the top off. We contacted the company to order a new one and they asked us to send the old one and they would replace it free of charge so they can make their product better. Good luck!

I installed a Whirlpool Residential to replace our Dometic.
Found this lock (link below):

Got at on Amazon.
3 years no issues, and no screws.

I have the 3 door Whirlpool first thing I did was remove the junk stock lock that was a pain to use. I bought two of these one for the fridge doors and one for the freezer, I used Gorilla Glue double sided tape to hold them in place. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

From what you are reporting it sounds like the threaded hole in the door has wallowed out a bit and the threads of the “setscrew” are no longer tight. I would drill out the hole in the door and install a rivnut of the proper size for the setscrew. I would use blue locktite on the setscrew as well.

My first thought was to use something like JB weld to fill the hole, insert the screw into it while wet, and let it set up. Couldn't be adjusted but at the same time, don't think it would ever have to be.

But then I read the post you made with an idea that sounds even better!
