I filled out and mailed in all of the warranty cards I found in the giant bag of documents from Newmar when we brought our unit home. It was a pain to get some of the serial numbers, but I did it. I did it simply out from the mindset that it is one LESS reason the OEM has to not stand by their warranty.
I understand the concept mentioned earlier about "not being the original purchaser", but I have had that discussion with an OEM on an appliance in our prior TT. That particular OEM stated that they don't really recognize the RV builder as the "original purchaser" for warranty purposes since the item was intended for resale. Just like when you buy something from Wally World, Sears, etc. Again, either fill out and mail or register the items online (if available), it certainly cannot hurt your chances of getting support down the road.
As a side note: I registered my 2 Yamaha generators, online, for their warranty. One was subsequently stolen and then was brought to a dealer for "warranty repair". They looked it up and found out it was recently registered to someone else. They called me, as the registered owner, and I informed them it was stolen. Police and insurance companies got involved, real fast. I was not privy to the final outcome as the insurance company had already "made me whole" for the theft. Hope they found the thief.
