Remove Fireplace

Well I have finally dropped enough stuff down my televator hole behind my fireplace that I need to remove it to clean out behind it. I have a 2013 DS 4318 which has the fireplace and televator behind the drivers seat. I don't see a way to remove the surround on the fireplace to get to the screws that must be holding the fireplace to the cabinet. Does anyone know how to remove the fireplace as I don't see any other way to get to the area under the televator?

Bill

I have a 2018 DS so I don’t know if it’s the same. On mine the outer rim will slide off by lifting upwards, then from there you can see the 4 screws to remove the fireplace. Hope this helps.

Same on my 2017. Grab both sides of the outer trim and lift upward. The trim will slide up and off revealing the mounting screws.

Above answers are correct. The outer ring pulls out from the bottom and then lifts off the top. When you look at the bottom corners you will see where the ring attaches the fireplace. The top is held in place by an channel.
