Remove washer 2002 MADP

Hey All,

Want to remove my washer to either repair or replace....is there a trick to remove it? If it's like the dryer, held by 4 bolts, remove these and just remove washer?

thanks, Fred

When I removed ours it was just the 2 brackets at top and rear of washer.
I ended up rebuilding the floor they had it sitting on and made spacers to keep bottom from moving.

Mine just had two brackets in the back at the top of the washer. Remove the two brackets, undo the supply hoses and the drain tube. The washer is light enough to be grasped and lifted across the thresh hold and place in the floor. I did this to replace the too narrow support floor installed by Newmar. So much easier to keep area clean now and monitor for any leaks.

If you already removed the two rear brackets and your washer is sitting crooked it may have fallen off the narrow riser Newmar adds. When this happens the feet can get hooked on and makes it seem like it is bolted at bottom.
While you have it out I would recommend replacing the Newmar riser with a full width riser.

I never had to take mine out of coach. Just pulled it out to rebuild the platform it sat on. Never had to remove it from the bathroom area.

On my Mountain Aire, I removed the chrome door bar, turned passenger seat sideways and used the seat to set the appliance on. Opened door all the way and two of us managed to slide it out the door.

Will it fit out thru the door ? I presumed you’d have to remove windshield to get it out. Maybe that’s for the fridge ?

I fear you have to take the co pilot seat off it's mount.
I have a mid door coach and I was replacing my fridge - just barely fit through the door. With your seat removed, it should fit also.
For me, I need to replace the washer (hopefully that's all) and the appliance can be no more than 22" wide - there is only one washer and dryer that I can find with those specs to replace the washer and at $1K - WOW.

On my 2002 4370 I was able to bring the combo washer / dryer out the front door no prob. Where it was tight was making the turn around the bathroom sliding door. Definitely a two person job.
