Hi read & learn,
I've not removed my bedroom TV. My coach has the 19" size analog/tube TV. There are two 2 screws holding the TV in place. They are located at the lower front left and right corner of the TV. They are easily removable. My assumption is once the screws are removed the TV will be able to be removed. Make sure you unplug the TV from the power and cable outlet before removal begins.

Hi Gary, I have looked all over for any type of clamp-screws-or any other things holding the TV in place. There is less than 1/8 in clearance around the TV and nothing that looks as if they were holding the TV in place. My reason for asking how to remove is for the future. The TV is a 20" Sony.

Hi,
I'm not sure why the make of TV would make a difference, but I have the Magnavox 19" TV. There is a metal bracket attached to both front corners on the bottom of the TV. The screws I mentioned earlier come out just a bit and screw the bracket into the wood fixture. I guess Newmar fastened the Sony differently. My wood trim is the same as the front TV. There are plugs that need to be removed in order to get to the screws that hold the trim in place.

Thanks Gary I will ask one of the service techs at the Tampa RV Super Show in Jan. how it is done. I hate to have to remove the plugs in the trim as I am not the best wood worker.

The wooden plugs will have to be removed and the surround trim can then be removed.
The plugs are sacrificial and are removed by driving a wood screw into and possibly through them similar to a wine bottle corkscrew.
My TV was bolted to a plywood base that was not attached but tightly fit into a space.
After removing the front trim, I was able to lift the front of the TV and slide the TV and the plywood base out as one unit.

I just removed the bedroom TV from our 05 DSDP 4009. There were two screws in the base of the TV as well as two small blocks of wood that the TV had to be moved around on. Removing the trim was as eveyone described, using a wood screw into the plugs.
I'm replacing it with a 32" Vizio LED (Walmart). It covers the entire hole without obstructing any cabinets or going over the frame of the cabinet.

Thanks everyone for the help. Now if and when I replace that TV I will be one foot up on the problem.
