Question Removing front TV from 2004 Mountain Aire

I've read the sticky-post on this topic (and a few others). They've helped a lot (thanks especially to oemtech for the pics).

I've removed the bottom button-covers and the screws under them. I've removed the screws from the sides, 1 from each of the side cabinets into the TV cabinet, just like the pics showed.

So far, so good ... but the TV won't budge. I don't see any other screws from the bottom or either side. I can lift it maybe 1/8", but that's it. I can't figure out any way to get it started sliding forward and out of the cabinet.

Any suggestions other than destruction of the cabinet?

Thanks.

BTW - I was able to remove the smaller bedroom TV with little problem.

I removed both the TVs form our 98 Mountain Aire last summer. If I remember correctly, I had to remove the front plate of the cabinet completely. I didn't care because we were getting rid of these cabinets altogether.

I think I removed somewhere around 250 screws that day - many of them hidden or almost impossible to reach. Maybe exaggerating a bit, but it felt like that many...

The TV in my 2005 MADP had a strap attached to the top of it as a safety. If your's is the same you'll need to remove this.

got it!

Ok, finally figured this out. After I removed the screws from the side and the bottom, then the face trim slid out. This is the part I missed before.

Once the face trim was off, there was an aluminum brace the width of the TV with screws into the inside top edge of the cabinet and the top of the TV. Once those screws were removed, the TV then slid out readily.
