Replace sofa wth recliners

I removed sleeper sofa and installed 2 recliners with hinged doors on cabinets for more storage.

The recliners are not secured I just rotate then sideways for traveling. The storage cabinet behind also has hinged tops and hides all the seat belts that were for the sofa.

Very nice David. We definitely will go with Lazyboy if we ever replace.

How hard were they to get through the door?

Nice job, we did the same thing. I left the OEM seat belts in place and screwed the chairs down with four screws. The belts hold them very well for traveling.

The back slides up and off so you have 2 pieces. There is no problem getting them in, plenty of room to spare.

As far as I know, the backs on All Lazy-boys come off. At least they did with ours which made them easy to get in. Just lift the back off from a steel rail system.

We did the same with our '02 DSDP a couple years ago. Used custom ordered La Z Boy recliners.
The present rig came with a Stress Less recliner, took it out and replace it with another La Z Boy recliner. The Stress Less just wasn't comfortable for the DW nor I.
