Replacement clear lucite outside handles - can't find the thread

The clear lucite handle outside our entry door that lights up is all cracked internally and needs replacement. I remember a thread from a while back that said where to get a replacement. I know it won't have the Newmar name on it but that's fine. Does anyone know where I can find that thread so I can order a replacement? Photos attached to show the handle I'm talking about. Thanks!

Newmar will ship you a stainless steel replacement for free.

You can buy clear plastic rods, heat them, and bend them to match.

I got one from Fleming sales. Do a search to find them. It was a good generic version and did not say NEWMAR on it like the original but it works well.

I had the OEM clear handle with “Essex” etched into it on a ‘06 Essex break in half. I called Newmar Customer Support and they volunteered to send me a stainless steel replacement at no charge. They volunteered to to this immediately, I didn’t even ask. I can only speculate that there might have been some kind of liability issue with the plastic ones breaking and possibly leading to a fall (but I don’t really know that).

Thanks everyone. I just sent off an email to this place. Looks like they might even be able to engrave the "NEWMAR" into the handle. I'll let you know what they say.

I called Newmar when mine got in bad shape and accepted their offer of the free stainless steel replacement. It took a little Dremel work to get a little notch in it enlarged to fit right, but it looks great and extremely solid. It's hard to beat free and it will never need replacing again.

I just completed the order with Fleming. They got back to me, they can even engrave it like the original. Only $26 plus shipping fot the engraved version. I sort of like the clear one lit up at night over the stainless replacement. Thanks to all for your help.

Were you able to use the existing top/bottom mounting brackets? Was it more or less a direct replacement, ie: length/width/diameter?

I haven't received the piece yet. They claim it'll be a direct replacement.

Thanks for the reply. I have an 05 DS and had the acrylic grab bar replaced 7 years ago with metal. Would love to have another acrylic bar/
