Replacing Fantastic Fan Vent Covers with MaxxAir vent covers

I currently have Fantastic Fan vent covers and they are deteriorating from sun exposure. I plan to replace them with the MaxxAir vent covers. Has anyone done this? Are there any modifications required to make the changeout?

Thanks,

Rex

Did you have the “smoke” color covers? I think that they discontinued those a few years ago.

I just recently installed 2 Maxxair Fanmate covers (black) on my fantastic fans. They Fit and work just fine. I do have to keep the rain sensor turned off on the bathroom fan or most times it will immediately close when I open It due to moisture from the shower. Very simple install.

My concern for the back bath fan on our DSDPs is that the clearance would be several inches less. Of course for the kitchen and mid-bath, it wouldn't be a problem.

Has anyone exchanged the Fantastic fan vent covers for the MaxxAir Vent covers?

Steve-W - I had the same problem, so I had Newmar disable the rain sensor on our bathroom Fantastic Fan while in Nappanee for warranty service. Afterwards the tech asked me if I knew that I could just hold the fan button for six seconds when turning it on to temporarily disable the rain sensor. I haven’t been able to test this because it had already been permanently disabled, but you might want to give it a try.
