I will be ordering a 2017 Dutch Star 4369 soon! Want to make sure I have considered as many "special order options" as possible. If you are in the buying process or have ordered or own a DS and would be willing to share your list of special order items or individual things on your list - that would be great! Things you are glad you special ordered or things you would delete or definitely would order if you could do it over! Thanks in advance!!!

We have ordered the KA wood look floors and a conduit from the roof to the AV cabinet for a cell booster for our DSDP.

Our favorite specials are:

1. Additional (3) LED lights mounted under galley cabinets.

2. Pantry LED lights w/magnetic door switch.

3. 110v receptacle mounted in driver side bay 3. (I use this for power tools.)

4. Half bath LED lights w/magnetic door switch.

5. 110v/USB Combo receptacles, 1 each behind driver and passenger seats.

6. 110v/USB Combo receptacles, 1 on each night stand.

Not a special, but an option I'm really glad I ordered is the hot water spigot located in the generator compartment. Great for washing the front cap and windshield after a long drive.

IMHO, the best option of all, though, was factory delivery. ~30 days in service department before I arrived for 5 days of pre-delivery inspection and training.

Our specials were:
- King Aire floors (which we love and get many comments on!)
- Tripod hookup in electrical bay, so if Trav'ler is ever blocked we can use our portable Tailgater and get satellite reception to tv's via an A/B switch (this is not standard which we found out at last minute and was able to get added to build)
- Having outside TV satellite signal from bedroom receiver rather than front receiver. We tailgate a lot, so we can watch games, etc outside, and our kids can hang out inside and watch different shows, etc. Otherwise whatever is showing on front tvs would be outside as well.

The one special we were not aware of and would of ordered now is having lights in kitchen pantrys (we have 2 side by side)

How is the outside TV controlled? Do you switch channels inside the coach for the outside TV?

Yes you do, however we have 2 Dish Wally receivers and the receiver remotes are RF so I can bring & use remote outside with no issues. Otherwise you would have to go inside to change channels or get an IR repeater if remote is IR. Now if you are watching locals you just use outside tv remote supplied.

On 2017 Dutch Star orders the Spartan chassis with disc brakes on all axles plus much higher GVW and axle weight caring capacity is the better no cost choice for chassis.

We just ordered our coach today and we got the King Aire floors (fsudelts fault for making me love them) Essex headboard, extra outlets, lights in pantry, and switched out some fabrics. I am not done yet either but I wanted to get our order in to get our spot set up. Please pray for our dealer, he doesn't know what he is in for, ha ha

sometime in late May you might see 2018 decor info go out to dealers & Newmar will start taking orders sometime in June for August delivery. Ay least that is what has been what has been for years.

Sounds a lot like our order and our decision to go full time as soon as the S&b is sold this spring. Congrats on the coach. Heading out in a few weeks to see ours being born....March delivery date at the factory.
