One week to get warranty approval and order and have the parts shipped from Indiana to CA, rear stone guard flap comes in a big, big box. A couple of days for installation, a couple of days for me to find time to go pick up the coach and that equals two weeks. Considering I have dealt with dealers that let the coach sit for a month or more before even requesting warranty approval. This was a great experience.

If I was stranded on the road this would be a different story and I believe Newmar would have expedited things on my behalf, but I was not stranded and spending the winter at my CA home, so it was not a problem.

We bought a new Newmar Ventana from Richardson's 3 weeks ago and based on the service department's responsibility in the sale we would NEVER take an RV there for service. The carpet was grimy all throughout from walk through traffic. A tire came off the tag axel while going down the highway. Not blown... Came off. Luckily no injuries and their driver was still in possession of the coach as he escorted us out of CA. The cleaning girl said she had brought it to their attention but they did not clean it until we asked. We were given no test drive nor system walk through. The girl assigned for our walk through was totally incompetent to the point of being dangerous. We were told only to lock the slides at the front because all the others were hidden in the walls and we shouldn't bother them. Even after I showed her the locking tool she insisted that we were not to lock any other slides. We were totally unaware of a diesel's difference. She told us that the air brake gauges were actually only used when we towed to bring out tow vehicle up to the level of the coach ( I kid you not). Their tech told us they were the tire pressure monitoring system. ( 2 gauges for 8 tires? I don't think so.). We showed her that a compartment wouldn't close properly... She fixed it so well that we ended up with duck tape holding it shut until we made it to the factory. The master toilet was not functioning. The door lock jammed and a lock smith had to called while at a rest area. Both windshield wipers fell off in the first rain storm. The shower leaks. The oasis system was malfunctioning. ( they had no idea the function of oasis and told me to call Newmar I explain it all). The sunshade on the windshield came down but would not retract. There was no owners manual. Richardsons said they were generic and any manual would do. The touch up paint was gone. They said it didn't come with any. Only one set of keys was found. They said that was all the factory sent. And.... We traveled from KY to CA to buy their coach and were given a very hurried 1.5 hours to move our things over. And the list goes on. I write to the owners and the service manager and received no reply. Stay away! We headed straight to the factory in Indiana instead of heading home.
