Roller pads
Ok new to me 2016 Ventana 3436 I have found what I am assuming are roller pads to place on the tile floor under the rollers on the full wall slide. One side is a plastic material and the other is like a felt material app. 2.5’ in length. I have tried placing 2 in the living area and 2 in the bedroom area and tried both sides how in the heck do you get them to stay under the rollers mine just slide across the floor and do absolutely no good. Suggestions, thoughts, what am I doing wrong? I have tried shoving them hard against th roller standing on one etc… would like to use to not scratch the tile.

They should have a small edge at the end of each of them and are placed in the groove between the tile/wood floor and the slide. If they are completely flat, try using Velcro at the end, the hook portion should attach to the floor under the carpet of the slide so its out of sight. The felt on the bottom of the pads will hold down on the hook portion of the Velcro and stay in place when the slide is coming in or going out.

I used non slip carpet tape on the back of the pads and that holds them in place for us.

I finally ditched my roller pads. For my DS full wall slide I think I had maybe 10 or so. Lot of bending down too. I used the Newmar plastic ones for several years. Sometimes the lip would break. I would cut it off & heat up the end & form a new lip. Then I tried to outsmart that and had aluminum ones made. Same issue. Sometimes when the rollers come in they "knock" the protector out of the groove in the floor & then the roller would just flatten the lip of the protector. I threw up my hands & we have been using nothing but keeping the floor clean prior to slide retraction. I haven't seen a scratch so far.

On our 2016 Ventana 3436 the 4 roller pads are for the dinette slide only. When we took factory delivery the Newmar tech put red marker pen marks on the edge of the slide floor showing where the pads should be located to line up under the slide rollers. For lack of a mark you can line the pads up by observing exactly where the rollers are. I also put very small pieces of blue masking tape on the floor tile making it easier to position the pads. It is important to have them directly under the rollers. There is a lip on the pads which hooks into a slot in the floor which prevents them from moving as the slide moves.

I can attest that clean floors or not, the rollers are exposed to the outside elements, (just look at your slide from outside the coach when they are going out and coming in.) My coach was purchased used, and the previous owner didn't use the pads, and I do have noticeable marks on the floor where the rollers sit once the slide is in all the way. Like others have stated here, the lips keep breaking off. Try what I suggested on those pads that had the lip removed, using the hook portion of Velcro on the floor at the edge of your tile. It will be hidden under the carpet that is overhanging on the slide. The felt of the pad will keep the pad in place, without a lip.

1st, I found the precise location of the rollers, and put masking tape as a place-marker under the carpet at those locations to make aligning the pads in the right spot easier. Then when putting the pad down, I masking tape the the edge at the roller end to the floor (tucked over the gap), so the roller rides up the masking tape and not push the pad (happened to me all the time). Then for short stops to not have to re-do the procedure so often, I also tape the pad down at the end in the coach to keep it from sliding around as we walk.
Overall, quite a pain . Definitely considering no use of pads ... or upgrading to lux model JUST to avoid the need for pads (different mechanism so I'm told).

On my Ventana, I've found that as long as I don't push the mats too far into the roller, that the roller comes up the ramp, and then rides nicely onto the mat. About one out of four times, I'll have one move, and I just stop, pull that one mat back a 1/2" or so, and restart the slide, and it rides on to the map. I'm using the newmar mats with the beveled edge on one side. Wish I didn't need to, but it really isn't that big a deal, once I realized that pushing them to far towards the closed slide is what causes the slide to then push the mat (I think it contacts it before it's fully up the ramp).
Also, my carpet in the tan family, and what I did was get some moleskin (for blisters, so precut to small sizes) and put one of those on the top side of the carpet in the center of where I want to put the mat. It's a close enough match to the carpet that nobody but me would likely every notice it.

This doesn't apply if you're a 1-man show but I'll normally have someone run the button and will stand on the problem-child until it submits. Sometimes this fails but most of the time it "works every time".

I tried a set of Newmars cheap plastic mats & threw them in the junk after 4-5 times trying to use them. I made my own out of 20 ga. Galvanized steel- see attached picture. 20 ga. has enough Sx to keep the 3/8" lip from bending. I also roll crimped the 2 sides & rear of each piece to yield smooth edges so you don't cut yourself! The plates are 1 1/4" wider on each side than the rollers.
Happy Trails

I entirely gave up on my plastic pads under the rollers. Too much of a pain to place and remove every time.
I now use them as vapor barriers under the tires when parked on concrete
