Roof vent caps

Where is a good place to get replacement roof vent caps. They are brittle and I broke one. Want to source a few for replacement and spares.

Get some sealant too. Amazon has it all.

Do those things work for you?

I also installed those Lippert things up there a few years back. Very rarely I get smells (but I didn't before either). Only thing is I get some grey tank smells from the valve under the kitchen sink. If I had a chance today I'd just leave the old oem ones up there. I was sucked in by all the hype and fancy physics about those.

Camco 40134, search for it. This one is spring loaded and slides on the inside of the existing vent pipe. They work and you donít have to deal with a big job.

Thanks. I just broke my cap, and this looks like it will make replacement an easy job, so the timing of your post is great.

I bought several in Amazon that look just like the factory OEM. I have a couple of spares in case another low hanging branch eats up some more vent caps. After removing the broken vent caps and bases, I cleaned all the old sealant off and laid a bed of Dicor self-leveling sealant down then screwed the new base flanges to the roof. More Dicor on top of the flange to cover the screw heads and all the way around the top of the base flange. Good as new! Be generous with the Dicor self-leveling sealant and you should have no problems.

It wasn't 100% effective, but not sure that fault belongs to the product. I think the vents were too close to the fans and with the fans on it would on a rare occasion drag the oder into the coach.

FYI... here is a little vid on the product by TheRVGeeks.

Almost any RV supply or as suggested Amazon has them What I did on our last coach when I replaced the brittle vents was to buy a can of spray paint designed for plastic and painted them before install to protect them from the sun. Never had a problem in 6 or 7 years with them becoming brittle

Or, you could switch to one of these.
