Routing GPS and XM Antennas ?

Finally got a new in dash stereo to replace the 17 year old one. I bought a Jensen with gps navigation and XM tuner. Both have a external antenna that needs to be mounted outside the coach. I don't believe the coax is long enough to reach the roof. I can get a extension for the XM antenna but am having a problem finding one for the GPS. Do you think mounting the antenna to each mirror arm would be a sufficient view of the sky for them to work? I believe the coax is long enough to reach them . Just a thought. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Mirror should be fine. Look at how many work off the dash....

I have seen a few You Tube videos with them under the dash also but those were in cars and they have a better view of the sky than my coach dash. Thanks for you comment.
