on my previous DP I centered the extension in the grommet as best i could, then used star-brite silicone sealant on the edges of the grommet. problem solved. it was a freightliner chassis.

Rubber valve stem stabilizer

All my stems are metal. For the two inner rears my tire guy added two flex extensions with SS braided cover and brought them out to the large center wheel hub. Mounted a SS bracket to the hub, and the valve end of the flex line to the bracket. No problems, no shaking, no chafing for the past 8 years.
(Photo is of the original install. Lasted 8 years fine. Just bought new tires in Sept and changed all parts to SS.)

This looks to be a great solution. Can you provide more details on where you got the SS bracket?

Is what was installed something similar to the Wheel Masters Airless 4-Hose Inflation Kit - 16" to 19-1/2" Dually - Hub Mount?

How are the brackets mounted to the hub - screwed in?

Thanks

teamnash... I’m sorry to say I can’t recall exactly where we got the SS brackets. I think it was at some radio or electronics shop. We did have to drill them ourselves to get the two 1/8” holes on one side and the single 5/16 or 3/8 hole on the other. Important to remember the threaded air hose end is the same diameter and thread pitch as a coax male end piece. That makes the nuts easy to find. Truth is you could use zinc brackets if you can’t find SS. My original brackets lasted seven years and still weren’t rusted. It was the steel nuts that rusted. We attached the brackets to the wheel hubs with two 1/8” pop-rivets in each bracket.
