I've even seen a few with 2 RV garages. That's on top of a 2 car garage and a golf cart garage. They don't have any problem selling them. Having to much garage is kind of like having to much money or a girl to pretty. That'd make a good line in a country song.

These houses do move fast. Here's one currently for sale in MOSN. And no, it's not mine. -Paul

The houses Richmond builds are nice and we have settled in on the Hanson model. Just like RV's everything has a compromise. Richmond is a production builder, so no changes to plans allowed (moving walls, extending walls). Our MA will fit in the RV garage but will be tight. The garage plan shows 44' but actually measures 43'3". MA is 41'9". It seems the RV homes in this community were an after thought. The homes are in the back of the development. You have to drive down a tree lined road and then through a traffic circle to get to the homes. The community HOA has agreed to keep the trees along the road trimmed to 20' above the road. We'll see how that plays out.
Also liked The Great Outdoors in Titusville, but NO motorcycles allowed. Non starter for me.

Actually Motorcycles are allowed in the Hidden Lakes neighborhood — it’s the first one on the right. Many residents in our neighborhood have them!

Cool

My wife and I are about 5 years out from retirement and I've recently been researching this topic. Thanks for some great info that's been shared here.

Very interesting. If anyone hears of updates to new locations/additions please continue to post here so others can see as well.

Thx!

There is a community out Rt.16 from St. Augustine (NW) Fl., called "Arbor Mill" that has quite a few homes with "RV Garages". However, none seemed "For Sale".
Just an FYI, for those that may be interested!
Happy New Year!

What Richmond American told me about the "RV" garage homes, is that they are "site specific" due to the depth of the home & required "set-back" by the County!
When we built here in St. Augustine, we had two goals, "RV" garage & downsize the home. Goal accomplished. As these are production built homes, no customization allowed, other than the offered options! So far, we are quite satisfied with our home here in Deerfield Meadows. The location & neighborhood work for us!
Enjoy your new home, when you get in & get settled!
And Florida sure beats Virginia, in more ways than one; if you know what I mean!
I know this post is a bit old. However, ironically we just drove through Deerfield Meadows last weekend. Nice small neighborhood and the RV garage home square footage is perfect for us. We were leaning towards a 55+ community with RV garages but that is not in N FL.
Are there a lot of kids in Deerfield Meadows and how about trains noise. Thanks!

Arlington Ridge in Leesburg is "Built Out", however there are a few RV homes currently for sale. These homes were built from the ground up as RV homes. RV garages are 60x20.

A curiosity question??
How much is the "CCD" in Arlington Ridge?
The total? Or how much does it add to the monthly "Escrow" payment?
As I understand it, this is in addition to any "HOA" fees, and it can be escalated due to annual expense increases?
Thanks for helping me better understand!

Allan

You can try Mount Olive Shores, and Mount Olive Shores North in Polk City. Some attractive homes with RV Ports/Garages in both communities

How much is/are the "CCD" fees???
Cant they be paid in total when purchasing?
What would the monthly fee add to the total mortgage payment?

Thanks!
