RV Garage Homes

The DW and I are looking to purchase a 2nd house somewhere in northern Florida. Specifically, somewhere that is RV friendly. We have seen communities that have house with a RV garage attached. One that I like is in Fernandina Beach. It’s 5 miles from I95 and 5 mile from the beach.

Does anyone know of other RV Home communities we should look at? I seem to remember one post some time ago mentioning a community in St. Augustine.

Three in the general area that I am aware of: Arlington Ridge is Leesburg, the Great Outdoors in Titusville, and another in Weirsdale, Fl. Also heard some discussion about some being built down by Lake Wales. My suggestion is if you can find what you are looking for in the price range you desire, need to action fast. I live in an rv home now and they are never on the market more than a week or two before being under contract. Good luck on your search and safe travels.

Not sure if it is north enough but we just purchased in Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort in Polk City FL. There are still several lots available where you can build a port home.

Good location, about half way between Orlando and Tampa. Only about 12 miles from Lakeland shopping areas. Perfect winter spot for us, but further South than the area you have in mind.-Paul

Only resales as I've heard the last unimproved lot was recently sold.

I don't believe there are any other planned communities in NE Florida where an RV garage is common. In the more rural counties you may occasionally find a detached workshop or barn type structure where you can park a motorhome.



I have only seen these in higher numbers in Lake City but that's not usually thought of as northeast Florida. You may be able to find this in Baker or Clay county and still be adjacent to Jacksonville.

There is a development called Lake Ashton that have RV garage homes. Its south of 4 polk county.
