RV Overnight near St Louis, MO
We are passing through the St Louis area Friday evening and need a quick place to overnight with our DS. We are coming from Denver along I70. Does anybody have any good ideas and experiences?

Are you staying on I70 from St. Louis, or heading south? We have stayed at Whittington Woods in Whittington IL, but that is off I57 just south of Mt Vernon.
I realize it is not exactly in the St Louis area, but it's a nice spot for an overnight and well out of the busy metro area.
Just trying to help,,, from one old Herky Bird driver to another.

Sundimeyer in St. Charles. is a little off your path, $$$ big rig pull through.
St. Louis RV Park may be an option. There is the Casino Queen big rig pull through. This place is in East St. Louis. Not a garden spot of a city, but you are safe on property!

370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters
https://www.stpetersmo.net/rvpark.aspx This is where I would stay & I assume they are open year round. It is on the west side of St Louis & easy to hit from I70.

Archway RV in Mt Vernon IL, open year round, easy in and out, !/2 mile of interstate, just about any fast food restaurant and a Cracker Barrel between it and the interstate.

You might be safe on the property, it's GETTING to and from that could be a problem. NOT a wise choice.

Thanks for the info gang! These are all good possibilities. We are leaving Denver around 0500. I am hoping to make the St Louis area. Big pull thru sites are always welcome at the end of a huge day.

Casino Queen is open. We're here now. Have stayed several times. Long, level sites. Excellent utilities. Wifi good in first two rows. Clean. Mini mart closed. Yes, the surrounding community is rough, but security patrols often and PD is just 1/2 mi away. Railroad adjacent, but rarely toots horn. Small playground, no pool.
370 Lakeside is very nice. Level sites. Good utilities. Patrolled, i think. But too far from where our kids live. Playground, no pool as i remember.
St Louis RV is downtown (traffic). Small. Mostly permanent trailers. Sites not so level. Utilities ok. Pool. Pets are supposed to be walked ouside fence. We werent comfortable doing that.
All this from someone who flew T56's mounted upside down.

370 Lakeside worked great for us last year. We also boondocked one night at Hollywood Casino, was just fine.
