RV won't move

Started up our coach this morning to top of the fuel tank before the storm hits later this weekend. All appeared to be normal until I attempted to pull out. Coach will not move. Jacks are up and all indicator lights are normal. When I engage the transmission it tries to move, but feels like the parking brake is still engaged even though lights and pull knob say otherwise. There is a faint dinging noise coming from the dash area. It starts and stops when I disengage and engage the park brake. but, nothing else out of the ordinary.

Some of the time the rear drum brakes will lock up. Try rocking the MH from reverse to forward and when the brakes release you will hear a loud bang.

If you have air brakes and your coach has been sitting for a while it sometimes takes a while for the air to build up in your tanks that supply the brakes their air. On my coach it will not go into gear until the air brake tanks are up to pressure. On your transmission touch pad selection monitor if it does not show you going into gear on both sides this may be the issue. I think it may be the right side that will still read "N" even after you push the "D" button and the left side will read "6".

Hope this is all it is for you can just let the coach air up on fast idle for a while until you brake tanks are full and then go.

My daughter has an 05 Monaco that had the same problem. Last year they went to move it and it would no move, first into D then R, no go. They had a tech come up to there place and after an hour or so got it to move. Then they headed to Arizona from Alaska, after setting for a week or so same problem. When they got home in April they took it in Kenworth, problem the brakes and drums were glazed, new brakes and rear drums problem solved.
