On our recent outing, Sally, the voice that warns me to make sure things are out of the way before moving the living room slide, quit working. So far the slide still works, however, I'm concerned that this may be a sign of problems to come. Has anyone had a similar situation that has lead to failure of the slide operation?

Sounds like your voice box went dead. Count your blessings
Should not be a sign of trouble to come.

I wouldn't expect any problems from your girl not able to talk just silence.
If you want you can drop the display board and look behind the panel one of the wires to it may have come loose from vibration and she will be warning you again.

Thanks guys. I'm not missing the verbal warning, just concerned about other problems.

I agree that it means nothing to have her quieted. I was shown by an unnamed Newmar person how to disable her, and I have enjoyed the quiet slide movement. My disclaimer is that we have no animals, kids or others to travel with us, so no one will get squashed by surprise.

We had the reverse problem a few years ago. Everything was quiet and then all of a sudden the voice started. Nothing else happened, although I was waiting for the slide to start coming in on its own. Turned out the slide controller that is mounted under the kitchen sink was starting to fail. Got a new one and no problem since.
