Sani-con turbo hose wrap

Hi alll,
Just wanted to share how I protect my hose. There has been a lot of talk about the hose getting pin holes and I wanted to try and avoid that from happening.

I can deffentially see how these hoses get damaged as once I turn the unit on the pressure stretches the hose and abrasions are all but certain. I bought this 2 1/2” expandable braded sleeve wrap and slipped it over the hose.

I probably should have went with the 2” option as what I have is slightly too big. My thinking was I wanted room for the hose to freely expand and contract and 2” should work fine. Installation took maybe 2 minutes.

How did the 1 1/2" work and do you have the turbo model as that has a thicker hose? I know my wrap is too large in diameter but it does work.

The 1 1/2" works fine on the Turbo hose. I've got it on mine.

I wrapped mine the other day. I used "Rescue Tape" to secure it to the SaniCon hose. It holds tight and seals the frayed ends.

I too used the rescue tape. I then added heat shrink wrap over. Click image for larger version

I burned the edges and used a zip tie to secure it. I like the idea of Rescue Tape and may have to add that.

This is 1.5 inch. Comes in 25’ length. I used 21’. 1 inch may have worked.

The OEM hose contracts considerably when storing, how much does the sleeve affect its ability to contract when storing?

I went with the 2 1/2" for that very reason. It does not affect it at all and the 2" should work as well but I do not have any issues with the larger size.
