Sani Con Turbo upgrade

I have a 2015 LADP that I just purchased.

Just out of curiosity has anyone upgraded the SaniCon to the newer "Turbo" models? Does it make that much difference in speed or efficiency? I used the macerator system for the first time the other day. And I love it. I have been living in coaches for almost 30 years and this is the first time I have used one. Always thought the 3 inch hose was much better evacuating the tank. Maybe not.

On our 18 LA it came with the Sanicon 700 series which we didn't use because we were use to our Essex with the regular 3 inch. system. Once we started using it found it so much better then using the 3 inch. system since. Would recommend put a sleeve over hose to protect the discharge hose from damage. When pumping the hose moves around a lot and after a while it will get a hole in it. Did make a 10 ft. extension for RV sites that have the sewer connection more then 15 ft. from water compartment.
It is nice to have both systems so if you have a problem you can use either system.

The turbo model is head and shoulders above the original model. It can drain a 40 gallon tank in about 60 seconds. Make sure it's connected well, as it comes out like a firehose.

Never used my Sanicon

Having never used my Sanicon system, I find this thread interesting. Guess I'll have to figure out how to use the system in my 19 New Aire and figure out if I have a "turbo" system. Not sure about what a sleeve is, but first I should probably learn about my system. I'll check it out soon as I have a black tank that needs attention.

Sani Con Turbo upgrade

We added the 600 turbo setup to our 17 DSDP after a toxic waste spill when I was instructing the DW how to dump. We had the 20ft. 1 1/2 inch hose and for the first year no sleeve.

After a stay at a park where I needed every inch of the hose plus about 2 more inches I damaged the pump housing.

So when I ordered the new pump I ordered another length of hose, 50 feet of sleeve material and banjo quick connect cam style fittings to expedite lengthening the setup as needed. The entire modification took about 1 hour and has been fantastClick image for larger version

Does this install on the tank or on the current gravity feed. I have an older 2008 trailer.

Sanicon runs REALLY good!!!

Decided to use my Sanicon having watched a couple of YouTube videos. Went to the wet bay and tried to remember what I had seen on you tube. I removed my Sanicon tube from the wet bay and opened the two valves, one for 3" black tank and the other on the front of the wet bay panel marked black tank. As I removed the hose cap from the Sanicon head, I discovered I had accidentally hit the Sanicon power switch, needless to say I was showered with black tank contents. I was a stinking mess, but fortunately, I had a freshwater hose hooked up to the hose bib, and quickly hosed off.
Sure glad I don't have the turbo model.

Best part of the experience was, no one was watching; however, I was a hot stricken mess. Guess it is time to revisit the videos to be sure I have the dumping procedure down pat.

Been running a macerator system for over 9 years now. First 5 years were full time at a rental spot. Since then full time on the road. Upgraded, for free (warranty and no matching replacement in stock) from spin on to permanent bay mount model.
I can go anywhere, dump anywhere (legally), push uphill if needed.
Can dump one or both tanks without dripping a drop or getting my hands wet.
I carry an extra 100’ of 5/8” hose in case I need a long pump.

Hello, did you purchase the 1" protective covering or something a bit larger?
