Sanicon hose alternatives

I have been looking for a hose that would be a good alternative to the sanicon expandable hose.

I found this Nutone hose that is 7 ft, expanding to 30. Looks promising. Has anyone tried this?

Any other options that have worked successfully?

On our recent trip, I found the standard Sanicon Turbo hose wouldn't reach quite a few sewer taps without repositioning the coach. I just ordered another hose from them that includes the coupler. Not sure if that vacuum hose will hold up to the pressure as oposed to vacuum. Could be a mess waiting to happen.

Agree! Tempting as it is, I was hoping someone else had already taken the risk.

Kinda of a naive question
I have a 2019 MA
I assume the Sanicon system is a Turbo.
And second question is the hose diameter different for a standard sanicon system vs. a turbo.
I want to but an extension hose in the event I need a longer run at a site
Tks

The model you have is a turbo 700. The hose is different between the non turbo models.

Question for those that are wiser than I am..

If I where to pressurize the the hose with air at 100psi, and let it hold for a period of time, would this be a good enough test for suitability as a sanicon hose?

This assumption is based on the wall thickness of the hose being similar, and the material being similar.

What I am unsure about if there is a difference of water pressure vs air pressure besides the obvious friction factor. I can add 60 psi of water for that test, and I doubt the sanicon puts out more than 60 psi.

I just received word that Thetco part #97663 is a new, 30’ hose WITH a protective sleeve that you can purchase directly from Thetford and is compatible with the Turbo 700 system. Not cheap. 263 plus tax and shipping. You get an extra nine feet over the current hose which I feel like I need.

I have searched everywhere for this to try and get it somewhere else for cheaper, but it seems only Thetford carries it. It is marketed for Jayco coaches only, so even Newmar does not carry it..

The 700 and 600s both have the same 97521 part number for the hose. I would ask Thetford if it will fit the 600s and what is special other than 9 ft and a sleeve for $263.

I bought the Thetford #97521 replacement hose which comes with a coupler on Amazon for $80 and the cover for $15 (used redbarons link, like the red and black). You could buy 3 hoses and 3 covers for less than $263 plus tax and shipping.

I bought an extension hose with the coupler. It has worked great.

We have a 18 LA with the 700 series Sani-con which we added a protective sleeve from Amazon for 18 dollars. It does two things really well. It makes the hose easier to handle and store the hose. It also protects the hose from being damaged like when be dragged up to store. With owning 3 high line Newmar coaches this is the best sewer drain system out there.
