Sanicon Turbo 700 replacement hose part #97663

This has been discussed here on a number of different threads - basically it is a 30' replacement hose with a sleeve already installed, made by Thetford.

I would really like to purchase this part, because I could use the extra 9 feet and the sleeve/sock will give me piece of mind that I have something much more durable than I have now, but it will be almost 300 bucks with tax and shipping.

I have been back and forth ad nauseum with Thetford and they confirm it is the correct part for the turbo 700 system but according to them "it was manufactured specifically for Jayco (Entegra?), and there is NOTHING on their website anywhere about it (no pictures, nothing), and it is sold ONLY through Thetford direct, and it has to be ordered over the phone with them"

Sheesh.

So has anyone ordered one of these? If so, is it nice? Can anyone confirm that this is the OEM hose on Entegras with the 700 system? Just looking for any feedback from someone who has actually seen/used one.

Thanks!

I had one on my 2016 Entegra Cornerstone but it was not 30’ long. They come standard on the Entegra because they had some much trouble with the hose getting holes and/or splitting wide open. Went through two of the old ones like Newmar still uses in the first 6 months I had the coach. Entegra insisted Thedford fix the problem and the sleeved hose was the fix. Worked great and never another problem, BUT there is a discussion about that on this forum and several have ordered nylon sleeve that stretches and fits over the hose. It seems to protect the hose and work good and the sleeve only cost $15. Do a search and it will show up or maybe someone will post an amazon link to it. If I can find it I will share it here again.

Does it expand in length also like the Sani con hose does when in use.

I ended up just buying another standard hose. It comes with a barbed connector to attach to the original hose. I just carry it in case I need the extra length.

Yes. There is no loss in expansion or retraction of the hose. The material itself will bulk up when retracted, but it doesn't affect storage since it is so flexible. It is similar to a stretched out sweater sleeve.

When the sanicon is under pressure, the hose is at the full length and the material is very snug.

Had the same problem with our original hose developed small pin holes...so I sprayed flexseal on hose, wrapped area with flexseal tape and bought the nylon sleeve mentioned here....went on perfect, works welk,no problem storing it
But,I also bought a 10 ft hose ,same type as original....from North Trail for $177.00....almost had a heart attack....but was before I worked on the original hose with the leaks and put the same sleeve on that also
I then switched hoses....put the 10ft on the coach and keep the 21 ft that came with coach as an extension when needed.as stated, comes with barbed connector and I use two hose clamps...takes less than 5 minutes to use.....C

Yes, these are the 1.5" diameter. Part number is taken directly from the manual of spare parts located here:

Sorry to wake up an old thread, but I've got a new coach with a Sanicon 700.

Just wondering if anyone with the 30 foot sleeved hose (Entegra/Jayco/other) can report whether it is harder to gather up the hose to shove it into your wet bay for storage?

Spoke with Thetford and they said yes it is more difficult.. That plus the price -- I can buy 4.5 21 foot hoses for the cost of a single 30 foot.

Also, Thetford kindly is sending me a sleeve for my 21 foot hose as a freebie - so I guess I get to see what the sleeve is like.

Surprised to learn that if you want to buy a new setup, you have to order the hose, the "nozzle", and the "nozzle cap" - each a separate item. Total cost of a 21 foot setup: about $133.

I also asked them about the idea of just using a 3/4" garden hose all the time as a substitute for the slinky house. The rep said that would restrict the pump and prematurely wear it out. Using a garden hose on the end of the 21 foot apparently still gives the pump room to run at its capacity and not be overburdened.

Best/jim

In July of 18 at the FMCA rally in Gillette seeing a Entegra Cornerstone with a sleeve over the Sanicon hose and hearing Newmar owners having leaks in their sewer hose we went and checked on a fix. Finding the PET sleeve and installing it over a year ago for 15$ it has been a great improvement and have had a number of other improvements by using the sleeve.
With our travels and staying in 45 or more RV parks a year (in Door County Wis. today) what we have done is added a 3/4 inch HD 10 ft. hose if we ever need to add some length to sewer hose to make a connection. On this trip only one time did we need to add the extension hose in Cheyenne Wy. For us the 21 ft. Sanicon sewer hose with sleeve is the answer for our travels and if needed maybe once a year the added 10 ft. completes our sewer hose needs.

I sleeved my hose and added a threaded end. I bought a second hose, not sleeved, that I will use if I need an extension. It is also threaded and I can just screw the two together.
