Seat Belt Removal/Bolt Attachment

I have removed my seat belts on the curbside slide out. I don't really need them as I have removed the sofa/sleeper and installed 2 lazy boy recliners. We do not sit back there while the coach is moving. My question is that the large bolts that were used to attach the seat belts sticks up about 2 inches into the coach. I would like to remove these also but want to make sure that it has nothing to do with the integrity of the slide out or the coach itself. I can see the heads of the bolts under the slide on the outside when the slide is open, so probably would be very easy to remove. I could call Newmar, but will probably get a lot quicker answer on this forum. Thanks for any input on the bolt removal.

I doubt that they would have anything to do with the integrity of the slide. Typically, a seatbelt bolt has one function, seatbelt only. Remove the bolt and fill the hole. Keep the bolts and seatbelts in a box for resale some day.

I had Newmar delete the curb side sofa when we ordered our DS. They were aware I was installing a desk in its place, yet somehow decided to install the seat belts anyway. Upon delivery I had the dealer remove the belts and bolts - took him 5 minures. No problem since as they are not structural.

Thanks all for the quick reply. As usual this is a great forum.
Will be removing the bolts this afternoon and plugging the holes with either silicone or expanding foam. I think either one should be ok to fill the holes.
