Averaged 7.8 mpg for the 11.5k miles. Minor issues, some still to be resolved with warranty work. We couldn't be happier. Will be going to Alaska and back next year. Everything we own is in the coach and the toad.
Hope you enjoy.

Did you notice any power problems going up or down steep grades? Any driving in windy conditions?

If you are looking for speed up grades, the New Aire is not the answer. All our driving is in the western US, a lot of it in and over the mountains.
We tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited all the the time; have found we are about 5mph slower up long grades compared to the DS4369 with the bigger engine. Going downhill is no problem at all and the exhaust braking is very adequate.
OK, so it takes a while longer to get up long grades and sometimes that includes tucking in behind even slower trucks, but in the overall scheme of things, everything else about the New Aire makes those minor delays inconsequential.

I'm the Same 58 and its my first motorhome . I wanted nice, but not big. It seems quite a few people are fitting this demographic.

Steep grades require truck lane, but can keep up with or even pass some rigs. Never got below 40 mph over the steepest grades although never went up any over 7%

No wind problem, although only one segment with 50 mph winds. Short wheel base plus 38k gvw make for a stable, smooth ride.
