Setting generator

What is the proper way to set magnum for auto generator so that air conditioning comes on for pets when we are gone on a 2019 Dutch star when we are boon docking

The 2019 should have the latest Revision.

You merely set your Dometic Thermostat for the Air Temperature you are seeking. Then...

AGS: 04 Start Temp F. Select ..."Ext Input"

If using time feature for quiet time...

AGS: 06 Set Time. Select the correct time of day.
AGS: 07 Set Quiet Time. Select OFF or the time range you want.

Then before heading out...

AGS: 01 AGS Control. Select Enable or Enable w/QT

I recommend a confidence test...

Program the AGS and enable it...

With the Air conditioner off...go flip the shore power breaker...now set thermostat to lower temp.

AGS should go thru it's routine.

If you have the Power Control Systen...it will shed loads. Generator will start and go thru a warmup period...PCS will reinstate loads including the Air Conditioning. Air will cool coach and shut off. AGS will detect no further Air Co ditioning needed and the PCS will shed loads and let generator cool down...the Generator will shut down.

After you see it working...you will have more confidence in using it as a backup for your pets.

We also have an alarm in our coach to call our cellphone for loss of Main AC power or reaching our temperature set point. If this calls us...I probably forgot to Enable the AGS before leaving. Yes, I did...but what I am saying is that it's good to have multiple levels of backup.

Not all software revisions work this way. Some just run for a set time...if the Air Conditioning is still demanded...the counter resets...otherwise it will turn off.

Pleasure...enjoy your boondocking.

We normally use the AGS as a backup to shore power...but we dry camped at the FMCA rally last year and it was pretty cool watching the genertor do it's thing automatically. I will say...our dog does get a little worked up when the generator starts. He acts like we are being jnvaded by space aliens. Hope your pets aren't alarmed by it.
