Sewer hose storage
We have a 2012 Mountain Aire. I have not been able to store sewer hose in storage compartment in front of radiator due to size of opening. I added an under frame tube for storage. My question for those that know....what size and brand of hose will fit in the storage compartment provided by Newmar?

Been a problem for me also in my 2011 MADP. I use a Rhino set up and the ends are too large to go in the storage compartment Newmar supplied, my coach came with a macerator, but has since broke and the motors are no longer available and all new ones will not fit in my wet bay, so I will be following your post to see who else chimes in !

These work but I am not recommending them:
"Blueline Ultimate Sewer Hose"
Had them for my previous coach but switched to Rhino hoses and never looked back. Rhino ends don't fit in the Newmar Compartment designated for sewer hoses.

I also use Blue Line so they will fit in the storage tube. I have a second 10 ft in the wet bay. I collapse it and put caps on each end to limit the space used in the wet bay. I always put the end on the Blue Line that is in the storage tube to keep it from disappearing it the tube.

I tried switching to Rhino several years ago and encountered the same problem you did, the ends were too big.
So I've stayed with the Blueline for 14 years. I found that using a hose support with them really helps, otherwise you'll get pin hole leaks.

I have a DrainMaster (Wastemaster) sewer hose that has a fixed large head. I made this storage box out of 4 PVC pipe and plastic army ammo box from a farm supply store.

The Newmar hose storage is a design from years ago, when most people were using the cheap brown stinky slinky with removable end fittings. Folks would detach the ends for separate storage, and the pipe only would then slide into the holder.
An alternative for those with high quality hoses from Rhino or Valterra with the factory installed bayonet fittings is the 5 inch vinyl plastic fence post cover available at Home Depot. Large enough to accommodate the hose, and when mounted cross-coach beneath the frame, very convenient to use.

Have you ever given any thought to a SaniCon unit. You leave the hose connected and never need to rinse it. Dump the tanks, screw on the end cap and just coil the hose up in the wet bay....you're done!
I've had the SaniCon system since 2005....wouldn't own a coach without it. You never have ANY contact with sewer water.

The clearance for the box is 8 1/2 compared to 4 tube of 9 clearance. As a reference to tip of the oasis exhaust is 8 1/2. I measured with coach leveled and jacks down. On flat surface so I dont think ride height would be much different.

Should be fine, I installed one on my Forest River Gasser and used the Rhino hose set up. Will hold two hoses connected together and is big enough for the connectors. Only issue I ever had was the cap came undone once. I started clipping a small spring loaded Carabiner on the tab.

Don, have you had to replace the hose? Seems I read there were issues with them. Thanks
