Short term storage preparation
We've completed our maiden voyage (7 weeks, 8 USA States, 4 Canada Provinces, 5,200 miles) in our 2015 Ventana and are going to store it for a about 4 weeks before heading out again on a short trip. Weather is not a concern (we live in Southern California. It will be stored outdoors and not have access to shore power. It will be on asphalt, without the jacks down.
I've the emptied grey and black tanks (not the fresh water). I emptied the fridge and powered it down, emptied the ice maker. I will prop the doors open on this and the washing machine. I plan on turning off the power to the coach (salesman switch located above the passenger). I don't plan on turning off the chassis batteries via the red switch (unless that would be recommended). Do you also shut off the propane at the regulator? Does using the salesman switch turn off the inverter, or does this have to be turned off too?
Am I missing anything? When I get back into the coach, do I just reverse what I've done, or do I need to something else).

I have a gasser so my procedure may be different but I would suggest you turn off the propane tank and turn off the house power switch. On a gasser it is called a bird. It has a position for store and use. Maybe that is what you are calling a salesman switch. I would also suggest you cover your tires. The Southern California sun will age them long before they wear out. Jacks up or down is a matter of debate. Don't know why I deploy the jacks but I do. Some even park the MH on small plywood squares to help preserve the tires but I don't know if that works. I would then turn off the refrig on the switch at the top of that unit and then turn off the carbon monoxide detector switch so those two items to not drain your house batteries. Make a check list to remind you of the items you turned on or off and include locking all doors and cargo bays on that list.

Thank you for the tip on writing a check list for both putting into storage and taking out of storage. Thanks also for confirming about the propane. I don't know where switch is for the CO monitor is, but will look in the books that we got when purchasing the coach.

We live in Southern California and store our MH at our house. I do my shut down just as you have described and have left it that way for several weeks at a time with no issues. The batteries maintain a charge and when we are getting ready for a trip I do plug it into the shorepower and get the batteries back up to full charge. I never shut off the propane tank, but that is simple to do if you feel it is necessary. I run the generator once a month if we go longer than that without taking it out on a trip.

You mentioned the fresh water tank I would empty that and the HWH, hot water heater, standing water not in use can smell like eggs if left to long in hot weather and just sanitize your water system before putting back in use.
Your chassis batteries should be OK with sun light on solar panel to keep them charged, because ECM,TCM and radio will be discharging them.
Good comments in the other posts also.
Enjoy your travels when you move again.
