Shower Water Pressure
2017 DutchStar 4369
My water pressure sucks. I replace cartridge no change, I went to a low, no flow shower head. Still dismal water flow. Changed filter in the wet bay area. Still nothing. Someone said I need to drill out the cartridge. Ok. Where? At a loss and need assistance. Thoughts and don't want to take to shop.

Are you getting good pressure in he sinks? If so it's not the cartridge. Try pulling the shower head and see if you get good flow. You may have build up in the shower head.

I had a sudden drop in pressure on a trip and it ended up being a kink in the hose very close to where it attaches at the hose reel. I was trying to diagnose everything else first and finally completely unwound the hose and found the kink. I felt really silly. Worth checking if you haven’t. Hope it’s something simple. Good luck.

Many times there is a flow restrictor inside the shower handle
Some are removable
Some you drill out with 1/4" bit to increase flow thru shower head
*increased flow=increased water usage

Many fixtures have a screen in the outlet that will collect calcium buildup or production build junk. I had this issue on every faucet, toilet and the shower.

What kind of water filter are you using? Perhaps too much restriction.
Are you using a water pressure regulator at the hose faucet? Perhaps it's defective.
Also, the water pressure is stronger when running off the pump.
Is it the same at every park or just where you are now? Perhaps a park issue.

There are valves behind the shower face plate. I couldn't get enough cold water and found one partially closed.

All good and new filters throughout. Water pressure at 55. Old cartridge vs new cartridge no difference. All sinks good.

Is pressure the same on full cold and full hot? Is mid point setting on shower warm. If the above answers are yes then the problem would be prior to the shower valve or after the valve. If the answer is no check the adjustment to each line. Behind the valve plate each line (cold and hot) are adjustable. Over time as we bounce around the adjustment tend to close, although would be strange that they both close the same

I think I would check this out for your issue. Two adjustment screws, one for hot and one for cold behind the handle. Several have reported that one was turned/loose and caused the same issue.

Old-Biscuit has a good response!
When I broke a handle off I unscrewed the faucet cartridge and discovered there is a restrictor plate on the backside that can be easily pulled off, turned, and rotated to change the location of the holes through which the water flows. However, since I broke the cartridge I purchased a new one from Lowes (go figure) that had larger holes in the restrictor plate and that fixed the flow problem.

I found that both Hot and Cold valves were not all the way open. I took apart cartridge and cleaned everything and I have a "Firehose" rain head and side wand now. My wife could not believe the difference. I bought new in 2017.............
