On present coach, I cannot see the power cord reel, nor gain access to it, so as the cord is going in, I take a damp blue towel, and clean it off from dirt and stuff. On the new one, I will do the same thing, but I can see it and check it's condition. The mod on the bracket is something I will tackle if necessary once home.

Thanks Don for the radiator door mod.
I did mine today and used a 1" bimetal hole saw on a drill press and worked well. I will attach it tomorrow.

Looks good.....I have several hole saw sizes, but not that one...I used a step drill. Those hole saws get expensive when you start collecting them!

I am at Newmar today and tomorrow. Will be going home tomorrow or Wed. I have the Push Buttons but was wondering what size are the metal pieces that you attach to the coach. Would like to do the mod after I return home before starting out for the West Coast later this month.

Thanks in advance for info.

Dave....I can measure later, but they attach to the back of the horizontal fins on the radiator door. So you cut the aluminum so it's hidden behind the two fins, and then drill the holes so that they screw into the back of the fins. Hope that makes sense.

They do get expensive, that's for sure.

Dave, I bought this flat stock from Homedepot and cut two at 3 inches each as instructions from Don's first post. I did a trial fit and it's perfect. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...1967/204273995

Thank you both for the info. Will visit HD when I get back to MD.

Tech did find the hidden hole under my FWS this morning. Been looking for that thing for two years. With luck this takes care of my water problem when driving in the rain.

Canuck53,

Sorry for the delay in reply. I will take pictures today or tomorrow when we put the slide out to replenish coach at home.

Currently setting in driveway getting ready to head to west coast by way of Texas. Will be gone till November so doing a lot of prep and last minute resupply.

Don,

I am working on that. Bought extra pool noodles and floaties. Have compressor so I can air up tires so the big girl will float.

Hope the tag axle will act as a rudder if I need one else I am in big trouble when trying to go around a turn.
