SilverLeaf VMS Update-2016 Essex:

My SilverLeaf dash monitor lost its mind over the winter while parked and it was locked onto one of the screens that I normally drive with. Disconnecting the chassis and house batteries did not bring it back life. So, I looked for access to the module under the dash where VMS 350 resides and I was not excited about removing the Xite radio for access to it. There is no access panel on the dash, and removing the drawer on the bottom of the dash did not help either.
Finally, I called SilverLeaf and I was told that I just needed to unplug VMS 350 for a reboot. After I explained that there is no dash access panel, I asked him about rebooting all of SilverLeaf. He told me to try this since it might work by rebooting all of the modules. He said “there are two fuses located in the cord reel bay on a KIB panel. Pull F1 and F2 (5-amp fuses) for a minute and reinstall them”. …….Low and behold, it worked! All screens are back and I could zero out the aux. trip for this years travel. I asked the SilverLeaf tech. what could have caused this since this has never happened before. He said that a lightening strike not even nearby could have caused this. ……..So, after a couple of sleepless nights, I now know how to reboot SilverLeaf and I thought I’d share.
Thanks,
Stu
