Because in some areas you can lose radio signals and still get Sat radio. Also more content choices with Sat radio.

We have had Sirius/XM in our MH and car for several years. The benefits for us are being able to listen to the same stations anywhere in the country, without commercials. I recently rented a car which did not have Sirius. I could not believe the time spent on commercials. It was easily 30 or 35 percent. For us, Sirius is worth the money for that alone.

Put them on your smartphone, use blue tooth to down load to your radio.

That sword cuts both ways, you can lose Sat and still have radio waves.

After speaking with Newmar, my Ventana is not wired with a module or antennae. At this time my desire to run the antennae is not that great so I will listen to XM over the internet with a smart phone and Bluetooth it to the radio.
