Sleep sofa Ventana disassemble, removal
Shortly, I will be removing the 92-inch sleep sofa from my 2017 Ventana LE 4037 and replacing the sofa with two recliners.
I viewed some videos on removing a sleep sofa from an RV. No two sofas are the same and each has its challenges.
It appears Newmar pretty much used the same sofa in their coaches.
Has anyone removed theirs? If so, what are the steps, challenges to dissemble?
Does anyone have any photos? Do I need to remove the pilot and co-polit seats? Any information will help.
I will be replacing the sofa with two of the following recliners.

I am surprised to not see any replies to this post. I know it is a common topic and many people have done it. I too am looking to replace my soffa and could use the advise from others.

I looked at mine, which is different then yours but it looks very simple. To remove. Open it up and look. There are brackets and bolts. On mine there is a box under it that cannot be removed

I watch the technician for NIRVC remove my sofa. He first remove the folding bed then started loosing the frame hold down bolts. After that he removed the bolts hold the sides and front and the back together. It came out in four pieces plus the folding bed.

I bought a 80 inch queen air bed sofa from a guy who had a 2016 Ventana and installed it in my 2000 Dutchstar. It was in 3 pieces, the back, the main body and the facia front board. 2 people can remove yours without removing Captain chairs. Open up the sleeper to get a look at all the floor bolts or screws on each end securing the sofa in. Plus you will see how the front facia bolts in. The back connected to the main with 2 bolts at each end. If you are not concerned about selling the sofa are reusing it, you can break it down as much as you want. That's what I did with the jack knife sofa I removed, as I did it myself. I removed the bed frame piece by piece. Took a couple hours.

Thanks guys, that is great info. I am still struggling if I want to do it myself or hire it out. I know I can do the work, it is just amount of time out of the shop I will need to spend to get it done. Still, it seems like everytime I hire a project out, I am disapointed in the outcome.

I have the 92" sofa on the drivers side (2016 Ventana LE) and plan to remove it in a few weeks to make room for the two Lambright Harrison swivel chairs I have on order.
Like others have said it looks to me to be a fairly simply job. Remove air mattress, bolts on both sides holding the frame together and any bolts holding the sides to the back.
I'll post pics when I do but it's going to be mid August before I do so. Want to make sure the Lambrights are on their way before I take the sofa out.
