Sleeper Sofa for the Ventana LE
We are new to the site after having recently purchasing a Ventana LE 3843. When we purchased the rig we were not happy with the jacknife sofa that came standard but were assured that Newmar had a sleep sofa option. After receing a quote from Newmar for the new sofa and labor to install it we found out that Flexsteel no longer makes the sofa. Does anyone know if Flexsteel will custom make a sofa for you or does anyone know who might make custom sofas? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi...feel free to check with Bradd & Hall in Elkahart, IN..We dealt directly with Bradd. It was a good experience.. They also have a showroom if you need to see all your choices.
Feel free to PM me for any questions you may have..

I will endorse Villa International also. They will build whatever you want. I've toured their facility and have purchased some furniture from them when I converted my 2007 Mountain Aire from the sleeper sofa to Stressless recliners. Villa gave me a great deal on the Consul model and exactly matched them existing furniture. BTW....they built all the original furniture in the Mountain Aire.

Another option could be to find the air mattress that Forest Rivers uses on their units. I've never actually seen it in person but from the pictures, it appears to be simply an air mattress that is shaped to sit half on the floor and half on the existing couch. That could be quite a bit cheaper / easier than replacing the existing sofa. I have no idea where you can get them though; I searched online a bit and never found a source for them (although simply calling Forest River or a Forest River dealer might work).
If you do find a place to order it, I'd be curious to know where (depending on the cost, I'd consider getting one to use instead of our jackknife).
